Take a “Virtual Visit” - Highlighting A School District That Is “Making Learning Irresistible”

Updated: May 18, 2023

After hosting the 2022 Summer Institute, our minds are racing with ideas for follow-up experiences. We are provided an opportunity for educators to see an innovative school and meet their teachers and leaders as part of our “Virtual Visit”. Steve Shapiro, Leader of Experiential Learning and Community Engagement for Bexley City Schools, along with Emmy Beeson, Ellen Erlanger, and Kathy Meyer, served as guides for this special Zoom session.

The first “Virtual Visit” was on January 24, 2023, 4:30 pm-6:00 pm. As a part of this Zoom session, we “traveled” to Eminence Independent Schools (KY) and met with Buddy Berry — amazing! Participants also heard from Eminence teachers and students as they discuss how they are “making learning irresistible.” Click here to see the Virtual Visit in its entirety. You might want to also read Buddy’s recent blog about how Eminence is trying to reach its dream of becoming the “Disney World of Education.”
