Join Us in Making Learning Irresistible
Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership is seeking a Professional Learning Coordinator to help design, support, and facilitate professional learning experiences that empower educators, leaders, students, and communities.
At Partnerships, we envision schools where learning is irresistible — where students develop passion and purpose for their own learning and grow in the belief that they can positively impact their own lives and the lives of others.
Since 1996, Partnerships has worked alongside schools and districts to support authentic learning, service-learning, shared leadership, and meaningful systems of support for teachers and leaders. We believe transformation happens through relationships, reflection, collaboration, and a shared vision for what learning can become.
This role is for someone who believes deeply in educators, listens well, communicates clearly, and is excited to help schools create learning experiences where students do meaningful work for authentic audiences, clients, and communities.
About Partnerships
Partnerships for Authentic Learning and Leadership was founded by experienced and committed educators Ellen Erlanger and Kathy Meyer with a mission to help young people develop a sense of passion and purpose for their own learning.
Today, our work continues through long-term partnerships with schools, districts, and community organizations. We provide training, consultation, coaching, graduate courses, resources, and professional learning experiences that help schools bring their shared vision for engaging instruction to life.
Our work focuses on authentic teaching and learning strategies, including service-learning, an impactful form of project-based learning that connects academic curriculum with local and global community involvement. When authentic learning is connected to a school or district’s shared vision, it becomes a powerful pathway for student voice, agency, leadership, and purpose.
We do not believe in one-size-fits-all professional development. We meet partners where they are, lock arms, and grow together.
About the Role
The Professional Learning Coordinator will work closely with the Directors of Professional Learning and the Partnerships Team to support the planning, development, and implementation of professional learning initiatives.
This person will help design and deliver professional development offerings, including graduate courses, workshops, instructional materials, coaching supports, and learning experiences that promote authentic learning and leadership.
The Professional Learning Coordinator will play an important role in facilitating professional learning for both small and large audiences, supporting partner relationships, coordinating programming, and helping ensure that our work reflects the needs of students, teachers, leaders, and school communities.
This role is part facilitator, part designer, part coach, part organizer, part relationship-builder, and part storyteller.
Most importantly, this role helps create the conditions where educators can thrive and students can become changemakers.
Why This Role Matters
This role helps bring the Partnerships mission to life.
The Professional Learning Coordinator supports the people, planning, learning experiences, and relationships that help schools move from vision to action.
Through this work, you will help educators reconnect with the joy of teaching. You will help leaders build systems of support. You will help students experience learning that is purposeful, authentic, and connected to the world around them.
You will help make learning irresistible.
